***This is for a future opportunity*** MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Web Application Software Engineer to join our team.

Developing front-end components using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks alongside back-end services and APIs. Integrating applications with TAK servers, APIs, and external data sources to enable real-time and near-real-time data visualization.

Developing applications that function in degraded, denied, intermittent, and limited (D-DIL) environments while optimizing for low bandwidth.

Implementing application-level controls aligned to DoD Zero Trust Strategy and NIST SP 800-207 to enforce identity-based access control.

• The Web Application Software Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to design, develop, and integrate web-based applications supporting tactical situational awareness and mission operations.
• You will build user-facing and service-based web applications that integrate with the TAK ecosystem to provide real-time data access, visualization, and decision support.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Designing, developing, and maintaining web applications supporting the TAK ecosystem while implementing TAK standards and integration patterns.
• Supporting continuous integration and deployment pipelines while applying Agile methodologies to deliver mission capabilities.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting USSOCOM / SOF, DoD, or Intelligence Community environments.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• The Web Application Software Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to design, develop, and integrate web-based applications supporting tactical situational awareness and mission operations.
• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience in web or application development.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks.
• Experience with backend programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
• Experience integrating with APIs and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with version control using Git and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with TAK or similar tactical systems within a large team environment.
