In addition to the Office of the Board of Regents, the University of Colorado’s system administration includes 19 units that provide essential services to CU’s campuses in Aurora, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Denver, as well as the Office of the President.

Position Summary: The CU System Office of Advancement provides excellent customer service, strategy, expertise, and efficiency to our partners on CU’s campuses and at the University of Colorado Foundation.

- We support CU’s fundraising and engagement goals through advancement operations that include constituent research and development, data management, business intelligence, technical architecture, annual giving, planned giving, marketing and communications, IT, budget and finance, and more.
- This position works with other units in Advancement and the university to coordinate data management efforts focused on data quality, data governance, and supporting processes and documentation.
- This position reports to the Assistant Director of Data Management and is exempt for the State of Colorado Classification system.
- Where You Will Work: Applicants must be Colorado residents or able to relocate to Colorado within a month of starting employment with University of Colorado System Administration.
- The Assistant Director of Data Management is fully remote, and most current members of the Data Management team work the hybrid model, so most team interaction will continue to be virtual.

- Duties and Responsibilities: The allotment of time spent in different duties is commensurate with skills, interests, and needs of the organization.
- Duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: • Receives or collects information and then enters information, using related tools, while independently applying research, analysis and problem-solving skills, always adhering to appropriate policies and procedures • Uses current standards for indexing and coding within the database to ensure that all data input is usable; recognizes and voices when new standards are needed or standards are outdated; assists in documenting and updating procedural and standards documents • Ensures a high level of customer service is maintained when receiving and handling requests from internal and external customers, representing Advancement and the University in a positive and professional manner, including maintaining and responding to questions, requests, and concerns received via the Data Management e-mail inbox • Uses research and analytical skills and multiple tools and CU databases to resolve duplicate records in the Advancement CRM; works with other teams and departments to improve processes to prevent duplicates • Engages in new and ongoing projects and initiatives focused on data management, data quality, data governance, and the supporting processes and documentation; works across the organization, partnering with colleagues in technical and business roles to improve data quality and complete data projects • Assists or leads in training and instruction of processes, policies, or other relevant subject matter as needed (ex.
