Job Description
This position is only open to USPHS officers and Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time [6-8 Hours]. Performing repeated bending motion. Average manual dexterity for computer operation.
Phone use for extended periods of time. If licensed clinician or administration specialist, will be tasked to TDY within the department for a minimum of 30 days annually to assist with field operations.
May require physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds. Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
Must perform the duties of job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations. Must be able to travel (up to 30%).
Provide policy guidance, consultation and review of sentinel events. Assist in the development, review and revise policies and guides related to risk management annually, or as necessary to reduce mitigating risks to the agency.

- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement risk management program initiatives, and enact the changes in clinical practice, policy and procedures to preserve the agency's assets, reputation and quality of care.
- Assist in the development, review and revise policies and guides related to risk management annually, or as necessary to reduce mitigating risks to the agency.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
- Must have the ability to assist sick, injured or aging detainees or staff exiting the building (may require lifting, dragging, wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self).
- The work may necessitate some physical characteristics that will be required when responding to an emergency situation, such as running short distance, prolonged sitting or standing (6-8 hours) and working in an austere environment.
- Must perform the duties of job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations.
- Must be able to travel (up to 30%).
