Fortune Brands is hiring for an Associate Product Development Engineer to join our Product Development & Innovation team in North Olmsted, OH. Collaboratively improve products that elevate every life by transforming spaces into havens.

Location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule working out of our North Olmsted, OH office. Remote days are Monday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• You will improve the designs of existing products to make them more robust and cost effective using engineering best practices.
• You will also have the opportunity to define the overall product platform designs and rules for our product lines responsible for product development from ideate through launch.
• During the process, you will use analytical and empirical engineering methods to ensure that product designs meet all User, Business, and Compliance requirements.
• RESPONSIBLIITIES: Develop innovative new products and extend current product lines Work together with team members to develop capable, cost-effective manufacturing and assembly processes concurrent to product design activities to ensure robust designs are delivered Problem solving and failure analysis using engineering analysis tools Actively participate in Design Reviews / DFM / DFA for new products Proactively compile, prepare and present data for timely project updates and technical presentations Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering required Experience with 3D modeling CAD software Self-motivated and works well in a collaborative design culture Good written and oral communication skills Desire to work hand-on, prototype and troubleshoot proactively.

Required Skills and Qualifications
