Job Overview
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, Position Number PDD1366000 and is part of the WY 153d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard.

Job Description
Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 AMXS. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard.
Area 6: Current and prior military service members separated from any branch of the military to include US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, Reserves, and National Guard components.

Key Responsibilities
- TECHNICIAN INFO Type of Appointment: Permanent Tenure: Group 1 or 2 Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm FLSA: Exempt Telework: The duties of this position require primary physical presence.
- (3) May be required to perform user and organizational level maintenance on assigned support equipment, including inspection, repair, modification, and corrosion prevention.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Military affiliation is required.
- Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.
- Over-grade applicants must provide a written demotion statement of understanding with application, willingness to be administratively reduced in grade (E-5) if selected for this position.
- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience or training that has provided the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and make adjustments and settings according to established specifications.
- Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment.
- SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-08: Must possess experience or training in the use of common hand tools to make mechanical repairs.
- Experience removing and installing aircraft parts, components, and accessories with detailed guidance.
- Experience in following detailed instructions in making routine, reoccurring repairs and modifications to aircraft parts, subassemblies, and components, e.g., such as jacking and leveling aircraft, installing, and adjusting engines, landing gear assemblies, instrument panels, and flight control systems.
